Dress - DIY, bag - vintage, shoes - topshop

This dress was made last year out of a very old skirt, but I've hardly ever worn it. The best thing about DIY and self-made clothes has to be that it feels like you're getting new clothes for free, and it doesn't even take up wardrobe space. I can't think of anything in the world that's better than free clothes.

Hope you all had a nice christmas, I had a lovely one but I won't bore you with too many details. I don't normally get much for christmas, especially not clothes, because I much much prefer shopping and buying them myself. That's the most fun part of getting clothes for me, but I did get a Strokes tshirt (the one you all chose!) which I am really happy with!

Yesterday I went to the boxing day sales, oh my god they were the worst I have ever ever seen them! I gave up quite quickly, but not before I'd spent like half of my Christmas money on stuff I never even knew I needed. I'm going to Leeds tomorrow for some proper shopping, can't wait to go to Urban Outfitters and hopefully get something nice.
Did you manage to get anything from the sales?

Ah the dress is gorgeous! And the fact it's diy makes it even better1
Totes agree on the sales, I attempted New Look today but everything was thrown everywhere and only size 6's and 18's remained so I quickly gave up!
