kimono cardigan - republic, the strokes tshirt, shorts - h&m
Got this Strokes top for Christmas, and I literally haven't taken it off since, they are without a doubt my favourite band in the world (along with the Arctic Monkeys!)
I think music has gradually taken over like everything in my life, and there's this quote which I love, that Alex Turner said, incidentally about The Strokes too, which is so perfect: "There is always that one band that comes along when you are 14 or 15 years old that manages to hit you in just the right way and changes your whole perception of things."
And I suppose that's how it is for me, I started listening to both The Strokes and Arctic Monkeys on my actual birthday last year, which is odd, haha, and I can't really imagine life without them. I'd even dress like Julian Casablancas if I could.
So yeah, just my love letter to 'em.
Hope you are all having a lovely week, now that my exams are over I'll be posting more often again, yay

Let me tell you something, you can totally pull off this vintage look and look great without looking 'fake' like some do. I'm actually on the lookout for some vintage t shirts, but I am afraid that they will look more like 'accessories' on me!

Aw I know what you mean about music taking over your life. I don't really keep up with music that much anymore but there is one band that I have loved since I was 14 and has carried me through so many poignant moments in my life. It's those bands that really mean the world to you...and I can definitely understand that quote from Alex Turner.
They have been my favourite band since I was 12! I am jealous of that shirt girl. I like how you have the ability to make it look really cool. I don't seem to have that power with band tees. That fringey thing is wicked. I love the colour! I know exactly what you mean about music taking over your life. There's no better feeling than listening to the greatest band ever for the first time. Ugh I would just live in Julian's clothes if I could ugh. The moment I laid eyes on him I just melted. He is the most beautiful man on earth. My friends all think he is super creepy...anyways, this is all irrelevant babbling once again. Thank you for being so awesome!!!!
